The ground floor plan of Strazdmuiža boarding school for blind and visually impaired children, made of different types of plastic. A sturdy base in milky white, measuring 60 x 90 cm, on which the layout of the premises is placed in gilded plastic. The convex lines of the layout allow blind people to orientate well in the premises of the school. Contrasting colours enable the plan to be read also by the visually impaired. The description of the classrooms follows the principles of universal design. The text is written in both normal and Braille. One more work, as a gift for the youngest students of the boarding school, is a soft cloth educational book. We hope that the children will enjoy these books and that they will gain a better understanding of the world around them. Socintegra would like to thank everyone involved in this project.
